We currently have approximately 30 companies on our client list and 13 staff including the principal. Although there's no focus on large companies, several clients are subsidiaries of major public companies, two of which are rated AA+. One of the privately owned entities would be immediately recognizable. The fact that CGE has achieved this type of client list has been achieved by word of mouth reputation and, in recognizing it's a "no name" organization, an unmatched devotion to service.
Four of the key personnel worked with CGE's principal, Mr. Evans, prior to the establishment of CGE. In addition and unique among other Management Companies is the fact that most of the staff are shareholders.
The Principal, Chris Evans, is a Barbadian and has an extensive track record having worked in this business since 1987. We are comfortable representing that excellent references for Chris and CGE can be obtained from clients and within the relevant Barbadian community.
GL is a holding company owning the shares of IISL and BSL. It has no other function.
IISL is registered as an Exempt Insurance Management Company ("EIMC") under the Exempt Insurance Act of Barbados, 1983 ("Act"). It provides management company services to Exempt Insurance ("EIC") and Qualifying Insurance Companies ("QIC") as provided under the Act. EICs, QICs and EIMCs are regulated by the Office of the Supervisor of Insurance and Pensions.
BSL provides management, administrative and accounting services to any other entity licensed or registered under any of the various legislations applicable to the international business sector in Barbados. In practice, these are primarily International Business Companies ("IBC") and Exempt Societies with Restricted Liability ("SRL"). IBCs and SRLs are regulated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Development.
IBC, SRL and QIC clients will probably all be owned by Canadian organizations. EICs will be owned by Canadian and US organizations.
